Nice to meet you.
I’m Monorisu.
On this blog, Monorisu’s Blog, I mainly write about the following topics based on my own experiences.
- Mortar crafts and small concrete items
- Studying for civil engineering-related qualifications and exams
- Visiting coffee shops
- Travel diaries and city walks
- Reading and everyday thoughts
While working in the field of civil engineering, I became fascinated by mortar and concrete as materials, and I also started making mortar crafts.
When people hear the word “concrete,” many may imagine large structures such as buildings, roads, and bridges.
But in reality, concrete is also a very attractive material for small handmade items. Its texture, weight, inorganic feel, and the way it changes over time all give it a unique charm.
Through this blog, I want to share the appeal of these materials, as well as the things I notice through actually making items by hand, in my own words as much as possible.
I also write about studying for civil engineering-related qualifications.
When it comes to exam preparation, I feel that it is not only about memorizing knowledge, but also about how to think and how to structure an answer.
I summarize what I have organized while studying, the points where I struggled, and ways of approaching answers, hoping they may serve as helpful hints for others studying in the same way.
Besides that, I also enjoy visiting coffee shops and traveling.
I introduce shops and places I have actually visited and genuinely liked, based on my own experiences.
Rather than simply collecting information, I try to value questions such as:
“What did I feel when I actually went there?”
“What kind of time did I spend there?”
“Why did I want to go back again?”
This blog is still slowly growing.
I write little by little about the things I am interested in, almost as if I am building my own secret base.
I hope this blog can offer even a small hint or starting point for anyone interested in making things, studying, traveling, or enjoying everyday life.
Thank you for visiting.
Monorith
